Hi Stephen

It was to us, as well. It's also a 'future echo' of the area-rule 'coke bottle' designs, showing that the theory can apply to local parts of an aircraft at subsonic velocities as much as whole aircraft in the transonic zone. I am working on showing that velocities in the actual 'interference zone' are in fact near-supersonic at 450mph true - as they were on the P-38 around the cockpit pod where it interacted with the wing, and essentially the problems were those of compressability.
