2016 AGM

Our AGM, this year it will be on the 16th of July at Fishburn Airfield, Bishop Middleham, DL17 9DY.

This is where P7056 will be constructed and you will be able to look around the workshop and visit the other aircraft that will be on site there, hopefully Mike will be fit enough to tell us a little about the Airfield and the plans that he has for the museum that will form there.

The meeting will start at 11:00 and break for tea and sandwiches at 12:30.

It is a bit further North than the last meeting but hopefully we will see as many of you as possible.

I have twice tried the 'Contact' (send message) option on the home page but I have not received a reply/response - My message to WFP: I see you already have an Artificial Horizon Gauge however on 29/03/2016 I spotted an AM 6A/599 (1941) for sale on Gumtree Australia and secured this with a winning bid of $140(I am a bit $ crazy like that) I had by coincidence been looking at your site for the first time on the same night. I am so impressed with The WF Project that I would like to DONATE this item to you, but of course thought I should check first if you would in fact want this?. As mentioned I realise you already have a gauge but I think that this one might possibly be better!? Or perhaps it could end up on a display shelf in the WFP Museum? I have images to send to you but need an email address to send them. Also (if you do want this item?) your advice on packing for posting to UK. That is; would it be ok for me to carefully remove the back plate and insert a couple of polystyrene 'peanuts' to quieten the rattle of the gimbal? Please provide me with an email address / your email address. Thank you - Alex (at) [email protected] . . . PS. I would of course also require a mailing address for the parcel. I am in Wollongong NSW. PPS. I would like to also attach an image of the gauge but could not (unless an url)!?

I very much look forward to the AGM and meeting everyone involved with the WFP. It's a long way north from Birmingham but I have got accommodation booked and I look forward to seeing the site. The previous two AGMs were very educational and inspiring in very convivial company. Best wishes to everyone who supports the WFP.

Hi hope we will have all things ready at Fishburn for the AGM.We have had a very hard twelve months trying to get the planning through the site sorted and coping with weather etc. We have the planning in place for the first building that will be the main workshops. The second building the Display hanger is due to arrive in next week or so from London and this was used during ww2 at Hatfield and later at Salisbury Hall for the manufature of Mosquito parts so we believe. The third building is also a war time vinatage hangar of 1942 and is understood to be the last building ever used by the Bevan boys. We are looking at fundraising to get the pads down to put these latter two hangars down. The display hangar will we hope form the centre piece of the museum with the Whirlwind taking pride of place. you can follow other progress and see hangar pics on our face book page; aircraftrestorationgroup
